The Wilbur Theatre in Boston, Mass. is one of the most popular Boston venues in the theater district. In addition to comedy, music acts may also occasionally be seen. Gavid Degraw and Kris Kristofferson have made appearances at the Wilbur Theatre in the past to show off their musical talents.

Since 1980, the Wilbur Theatre has been listed on Boston’s National Historic Register. It was built in the American Colonial style in 1914, and it was originally named for theater manager A.L. Wilbur. The Wilbur Theatre was built on the site of the former Winthrop School for Girls. In 2008, major renovations were made to the theater, and it is now considered the hottest spot in Boston for music and comedy acts.

The Wilbur Theatre of Boston offers $10 flat rate parking and has a box office that is open Monday through Saturday. Although there is no elevator on the premises, the theatre has made an effort to accommodate disabled patrons with lifts and reserved seating areas. Children are allowed, but must have a ticket. Pets are not allowed unless they serve as guide animals for the disabled or service pets for law enforcement officials. Additionally, patrons are advised to keep their cameras, recording devices, and cigarettes at home as these things are not allowed.
